Baking has been a long standing tradition in Mary’s family. She remembers getting home from school each afternoon as a child and finding her grandmother in the aroma filled kitchen baking several treats. Her grandmother was happy to see how eager Mary was to learn to bake so each day she would have Mary help her more and more. Mary was a natural, baking and decorating cakes was in her blood and soon enough she became the go-to person whenever there was an occasion for cake.
Through the years Mary really honed in on her decorating skills looking to Europe to find the latest trends and techniques. With encouragement from her family and friends, Mary decided she was as ready as she would ever be to share her delicacies with others. In 2007, Mary and her daughter opened Mary’s Delicacies. Since then, their delicious cakes, artistic skills and great attention to detail can be seen in all of their delicacies from simple cupcakes to the 3D figurines and carved cakes which they have become known for.
